- Nottingham University Athletics Club is pleased to invite you to the 5th running of the Ed Prickett Memorial Road Relays, to be held on Nottingham University campus on 28th February 2009.
- The
long-running Nottingham relays were re-named in memory of Ed, a valued
club member and friend, after he was tragically killed in a road
traffic accident whilst at the British Universities Track Championships
in May 2004.
- Proceeds from the event will go to the Ron
Pickering Memorial Fund, a charity that Ed benefited from and as chosen
by his parents.
- This
years’ race will be sponsored by Up & Running, who will be
providing discount vouchers to all entrants as well as race prizes,
which will be awarded to fastest teams and fastest individuals
- In
recent years an excess of 400 runners from both university and
non-university clubs have taken part in the race from as far a field as
London, Manchester, Crawley, Lancaster and Leeds. The relays will also incorporate the 5th leg of the popular “university relay series”.
